Publication Frequency

The Yemeni Journal of Life Sciences is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that follows a structured and transparent publication schedule to ensure timely dissemination of high-quality research.

1. Publication Model

The journal adopts a biannual publication model combined with continuous online publication.

2. Issue Frequency

The journal publishes two issues per year, as follows:

  • Issue 1: January – June
  • Issue 2: July – December

Each issue is formally closed at the end of the publication period.

3. Continuous Online Publication

Accepted articles are published online immediately after completion of:

  • Peer review
  • Editorial acceptance
  • Copyediting and layout

Articles are published online without waiting for the full issue to be completed and are later assigned to the appropriate issue.

4. Special Issues

The journal may publish special issues or thematic collections when approved by the Editorial Board.
Special issues may be:

  • Guest-edited
  • Topic-focused
  • Published within the regular publication schedule or as supplements

All articles in special issues undergo the same peer review and ethical standards as regular submissions.

5. Changes to Publication Frequency

The journal reserves the right to modify its publication frequency or publication model when necessary.
Any changes will be:

  • Approved by the Editorial Board
  • Announced clearly on the journal website
  • Applied prospectively without affecting previously published content
